Input Manager

The Input Manager allows convenient entry of soil profile and input motion data. Among the ProShake Input Manager's many features are:
The ability to enter soil profile data in U.S., metric, or mixed units. For example, you can enter unit weight in pcf and shear wave velocity in m/sec - ProShake will automatically convert units for you.
Soil profile data can be entered quickly using drag-and-drop techniques, and can be checked graphically for errors prior to analysis.
Built-in soil models can be selected from pulldown menus, or user-defined models can be input and saved for subsequent use.
Input motions can be entered and applied as outrcop or within profile motions at any layer. A ProShake utility allows conversion of input motions from any format to ProShake format with a few mouse clicks - converted motions can then be saved as ProShake motions.
Input motions can be viewed graphically in many different ways - as time histories, spectra (response and Fourier), and in terms of a variety of scalar ground motion parameters. The scalar parameters can be computed for individual motions, and the mean and standard deviation (for both normal and lognormal distributions) of each parameter can also be computed.
ProShake also allows you to compare potential input motions with a pre-defined target spectrum. You can enter any target spectrum you desire, then plot all potential input motions on the same plot as the target spectrum. ProShake even allows you to compute and plot, with a single click, the mean and mean +/- s spectra for all of your input motions.
